Pricing strategies.....

With diwali approachin soon, and ghar ka saaf safai goin on in full swing... one of the imp ingredient is HIT for cocroaches.

now.. the spray v had was abt to get over... so had to buy a new 1... the other 1 bought some 2 yrs back... was then prized at rs.169 but rs. 30 off !!

now.. in 2008... sep batch ka product... prized at rs.175 but again !!!.. rs. 30 off...

i guess makers are countinuing with rs.30 off strategy as tht might hav some phycological effect on the consumers..

  1. ohh yes... u see the other day i bought a lays packet which had the promo 33% extra .. cost was Rs.10... initially the shopkeeper gave me the normal rs. 10 packet.. later on i saw this one and since it cost me the same but qith 33% extra, i bought the promo pack. Later on i realised that 33% = 1/3rd. and this is not much more than the original. Only the packet size was big. dunno if they really give 33% extra in that!.. Psychology plays an imp role in pricing FMCG products.
