Insecurity - Leads to Development or Disaster

Insecurity(noun): 1 - The state of being subject to danger or injury
2 - The anxiety you experience when you feel vulnerable and insecure

So tht goes the dictionary meaning... hmmm... 2nd 1 fits better in the context of this post...

So.. v see insecurity in every1.. everywhere... its some kinda insecurity.. may b regaurding their carrer... realtionship... monetary... social security... etc.. etc..

So.. these insecurities... say for example in out carrer.. help us... to put in more effort... to pump in more steam in our work/studies.. to reach a state where v think v wud b secure... & from there the cycle starts again...

Some motivation theory can b linked to this.. surely.. like maslow's... reaching to the top of pyramid... "self actualisation"

Thus basically leads to development of individual... if he/she takes it positively.. something like "constructive criticism"

But v hav also seen... insecurity breeding the moth in our society... ppl.. takin steps which are socially not justifiable...

V hav recently heard.. dacoits in action in navi mumbai areas... these r ppl feeling insecure monetarily & committing heinous crimes ...

Thus.. this kinda behaviour leads to disaster... hmm.. so.. now.. wot do v do...

I wud say... redifine the measure of security... say... someone wud reach self actualisation after satisfying just 2-3 levels of needs defined by maslow... is it possible...

Did our ancient sadhu's & our god who reached moksha did something like tht...

These questions are open for us to debate...

The GREAT INDIAN RAILWAYS!!!

Most of us Mumbaites are aware of our suburban railwayz... western, central & harbour... arranged from bad to worse..

I hav been travelling in Harbour line(worst of the 3) for 3 yrs.. & now again for about 45dayz after a gap of year...

2day was the worst day... even bad then a day where during my 7th sem engg. exam some overhead wire broke & train went no where.. & then i had to go back home & take maruti 800 till panvel.. & i eventually topped in tht paper in my college ;)

but 2day was a bizzare day... i generally catch 10.06 ST frm chembur... generally this train arrives b4 time by 10.03 - 04.... 2day i reached stn at 10.05... thank god train hadnt arrived yet...

but it didnt for next 15 mins... now.. thts bad.. in such hot & humid conditions in formal attire.. i was sweating a lot... finally the train arrived.. & was surprised to see a new local vth the display in the front of the train.. i thought "waah!! Harbour line has improved"...

at snails pace reached kurla... & didnt move frm there for 10 mins... then again.. started.. & reached wadala... but arrived on platform no.3 instead of 4... so.. ppl rushing & pushing .. to get down frm otherside.. rather than the usual...

didnt move frm there for 10mins... ppl out of train .. wondering.. wot has happend... suddenly a wise guy started BARKING on the anouncing system... some ppl could decode tht langauge & translated it to me as "The train is broke & will b going to Carshed"...

Darn!! now hav to hop over to other platform to catch a train...

But wot has happend to the anouncing system inside the train.. i see a speaker in every compartment... & this being a new train.. it should hav worked & informed ppl in advance..

Rather... ppl had to rush .. saw ppl jumping on the tracks.. & like a typical hindi movie climax sequence.. there where more obstacles for our mumbaikar hero's... the gutter between the track was set on fire...

The sence could hav been so better if just tht anouncing system inside the train had worked...

So i guess... b4 introducing A/c trains.. these basic issues should b addressed
